God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

There are thousands of people who are caught between war, typhoons, floods and other natural calamities yet you can see from their faces the gratefulness of being alive, of being able to eat, of being sheltered.
If you learn to appreciate and embrace lives simplicity, you will learn to handle any trials with thanksgiving and faith. That is why it is very important to establish a relationship with God. If you trust God, you will know that whatever situation you are in, God is in control.

There are times when we see beggars we try to avoid them. Why? because we think that they have been begging since morning and some of this children are thieves?
In 1 John 3:17. The bible says, "But if someone who is supposed to be a christian has money enough to live well and sees a brother in need, and won't help him- how can God's love be with him?"
In Luke 6:37. It says, "Judge not and you will not be judges, condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive and you will be forgiven;"
The feeling of confusion can sometimes betray our willingness to give to the poor when we ourselves are even in dire need of money, in dire need of love and affection.
Proverbs 28:27. "Those who give to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to them receive many curses."
Proverbs 19:17."Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done."
Everyone of us wishes to someday wake up with a changed world. But this change doesn't happen overnight. We have to work our way if we want to attain a certain goal and this change should begin within ourselves.
I pray that God will heal you of spiritual dryness and moral blindness. I pray that God will sent you comfort through this very challenging stage of your life.
